Daniel,

I've seen this hostile attitude as well. I'm Gen X but not into sharing everything about myself. I have cautiously and slowly disclosed to those in my life, personally and professionally. Often don't disclose everything as I have ADHD, depression, and more. It still surprises me how much bias is against ADHDers. We are viewed as weak and lacking willpower. Unfortunately this is common among both medical and mental health professionals. This includes family doctors, therapists, and psychiatrists. I was very careful to find a psychiatrist who truly specializes in ADHD.

You are right, of course, that if we don't come out and talk about it, who will? I could continue on as there is so much to discuss in what you provided but I'll spare you a 'book' on my thoughts. lol

Thanks again for this. I appreciate how concise, well written, and insightful this was. I can only imagine it will help many others as well.

Thanks,

Cindy
